Cornelia continues to keep her distance. I should have expected as much after that last fiasco. It was foolish. If my time here has taught me anything, it's that this place has the potential to drastically alter the memory. I've heard several here being told they already left once only to have the person respond in confusion. Suzaku as well. It can't be a coincidence. If I use the geass on Cornelia, it's possible I might not remember what I've learned when I return to Japan. I'll have to look into alternate methods to get her to talk.
In the meantime, those uncivilized pets of Peony may have their uses as well. They seem to display a sort of obedience to those willing to work with them. It might be worthwhile to test their capacities for learning.
