IC: Origami therapy

[away from some of the post-holiday mingling, one emo exiled prince is spending some quiet time inside his cabin, sitting at the table in the common room. the table is decorated with various multi-colored shapes designed from folded paper and a reasonable stack of not-yet-folded paper sits near his elbow. he starts making the creases for his next creation, expecting to be uninterrupted for the next hour or so...]

Ah, Suzaku told me you have something that allows you to make such changes of your own volition.

There was one that I sometimes tried back home... I have never managed to get it to look quite delicate enough. I suppose I could see if I have any more success.

--Oh, uh. That's different. That's magic. Usagi means rabbit in Japanese, so a rabbit is a bunny, you know.

Sounds cool! I wanna see it! [HA made one!]

It seems rather convenient magic.

The steps are fairly easy to follow.

[slowly making this (http://www.sparklingsweetorigami.com/images/Origami-Star2.jpg) but without pretty sparkles and half-murmuring to self] Nunnally makes the best ones though.

Yeah, it's pretty fun too. I can do a lot more though.

For a rocket scientist. I'll stick to the little ones.

Yeah? Did you learn how to do origami from her?

How do you perform your --

... Ah, our maid taught her originally. But it amused her when I tried as well.

[identity profile] mooning-you.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Maid, huh? Pretty ritzy, but she sounds nice. You really love your sister a lot, huh?

[identity profile] thekingsgambit.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
Ashford sent her to us.

She is all right. I understand that.

[identity profile] mooning-you.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, your school. Okay, I guess that makes sense.

--Huh? With time and everything, yeah. But I wasn't talking about that... I mean you miss her a lot.

[identity profile] thekingsgambit.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
... We have always been together.

[identity profile] mooning-you.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
I figured... Lelouch, I know this isn't much, but you're not alone. You know that, right?

We all have people we love back home that aren't here and we're all going to see them again sometime.

[identity profile] thekingsgambit.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
[still not looking at, tone edgier]

And who waits for you?

[identity profile] mooning-you.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
Family, friends, and my lover. It's hard, but I've been here for...a year and a half and I made it through all that time with my friends here and their help.

A boyfriend? ... I had forgotten that several have been here for more than a year...

[smiling to herself] For now, we're going to get married sometime.

Mmn, right. Ami's been here for two years now. I can't imagine what it was like before I got here, but I'm glad I'm here for her now. You have people from your home to depend on too, so you should. They'll understand how you feel the best.

[identity profile] thekingsgambit.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
So sure?

I do not want to trouble them.

[identity profile] mooning-you.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Yup, Serenity, the older me, told me.

Yeah, but they'll still know you're upset even if you think you're hiding it really well. Or you could talk to me or any of your other friends. I don't mind.

[identity profile] thekingsgambit.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
I remember. Your belief in the future.

I do not share such things. This is my concern alone.

[identity profile] mooning-you.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
Right. The future that will come to pass.

...Why can't you take help from others?

[identity profile] thekingsgambit.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
It is unnecessary.

[identity profile] mooning-you.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
No, it isn't. And that's not a reason.

[identity profile] thekingsgambit.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
You wish to give help. I do not need it. How is that not a reason?

[identity profile] mooning-you.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
No, that's not it. You won't let anyone help you. Why?

[identity profile] thekingsgambit.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
As I said, I can handle my own problems, Usagi.

[identity profile] mooning-you.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
...Who would you trust your life with?
