IC: Origami therapy
[away from some of the post-holiday mingling, one emo exiled prince is spending some quiet time inside his cabin, sitting at the table in the common room. the table is decorated with various multi-colored shapes designed from folded paper and a reasonable stack of not-yet-folded paper sits near his elbow. he starts making the creases for his next creation, expecting to be uninterrupted for the next hour or so...]

Mm, yeah! To grant the wish, but the stars are easier and we end up filling jars with those. Are you going to try and make a thousand of 'em?
no subject
Filling up jars? No, I take little stock in wishes.

Kidding, kidding. Kind of. Mostly, because I just want to do something nice with my friend though.

[considers and looks away again for a moment, tone softening]
You are not going to be easily discouraged, are you?
no subject
Nope! I'm stubborn, remember? Besides, you could use a little fun, you know. [taking a strip and fumbling to make a star]

[watches her, glancing back down at his swan and the rest of his projects]
... I admit, I prefer more complex projects. I believe there is a way to give them multiple layers and points.

I guess... But it's hard enough with just... [and she crushed it] This. You can make the really hard ones though! It'll look cool against the simple ones.

[cannot help laughing a little]
I am curious how you manage to fill the jar... We will most likely have to make some larger ones just in case.

[sticking her tongue out and giggling before trying again]
It just takes a few tries before I get the hang of it! Yeah? Like what?
no subject
There was one that I sometimes tried back home... I have never managed to get it to look quite delicate enough. I suppose I could see if I have any more success.
no subject
Sounds cool! I wanna see it! [HA made one!]

The steps are fairly easy to follow.
[slowly making this (http://www.sparklingsweetorigami.com/images/Origami-Star2.jpg) but without pretty sparkles and half-murmuring to self] Nunnally makes the best ones though.

For a rocket scientist. I'll stick to the little ones.
Yeah? Did you learn how to do origami from her?
