Lelouch really likes spending time with Albert because he's so open and caring and generally innocent. He enjoys the chance to focus on that side of things once in a while. He also has something of a reversed kindred soul connection with Albert with the Albert/Franz friendship. At first he believed Franz was in the wrong but after learning more about what happened, he admired Albert for understanding Franz's concern. Albert makes Lelouch wish things could be that easy for him and Suzaku so even though talking with Albert makes him a bit sad, it also gives him more hope. Albert is becoming one of those people Lelouch would go out of his way to avoid hurting. He's also someone Lelouch feel easier about relaxing around.
