The former personality virus just wore off (if you mean the recent switch). Kei didn't even contemplate trying any of the cures because he was too mortified and depressed at his current predicament. Kei used to be a very unhappy person, and fairly fatalistic, while Megumi spazzes out more. In all honesty, I regret having done the personality switch because it depressed me as well, and I was unable to play Megumi for a while, that's why I just let it wear off.
