Note, I HATE HATE HATE HATED this book. Borrowing a phrase from Angry Joe, this book is hollow, uninspired and a cardboard cutout of the anime version. There is so much WRONG with this book (and the canon ramifications are INSANE), that instead I will just list the portions that I found viable and am assimilating into canon.
- Lelouch went into Zero-mode during the massacre and did his whole "use Euphie's death" and "use Cornelia's soldiers" in a last ditch attempt to preserve his sanity by convincing himself that this was his plan all along. His way of coping with the fact that he had devastated so many innocence lives. I love this!
- Euphie's intense determination and personal battle against her sister over pardoning Zero of his crimes by renouncing her royal title.
- Kallen seeing Zero as fulfilling Naoto's dream and his connection to Naoto.
- Milly calling Kallen's Black Knight actions into question in her subtle way.
- That Suzaku and Lelouch actually enjoy bickering with each other because it's when they are the most honest with one another. Nice.
... I think that's about it. :\
