IT'S VERY WORRISOME. He's aware that Methuselah can be more or less out of control if they're in a bloodlust--in his canon he almost killed himself once rather than eat Esther, because he was so low on blood he didn't think he could fight it long. So. You know. This is a very troubling possibility.

And some of the vampires in camp don't seem all that honorable. He's probably going to be telling people to avoid him soon, because he wouldn't be able to deal well with hurting his few friends.

How bad does Zero expect things to get?

I saw that scene in the anime. o/ And poor Ion, trying to keep it all composed despite that experience. :(

Zero is an eternal pessimist so he always prepares for the WORST. It had him very on edge, especially toward the Kurans since their bite alone can produce Level-E (read: insane) vampires, which is what he was.

Neji is dumb. He's not as bad as he could be--he lucked out having people show up and be supportive, both after his breakup and after his death. If he'd had fewer friends for either, he'd be in a worse place now.

That said, he was very shaken up, and he feels sort of like a failure as a ninja for letting it bother him as much as it did. He's supposed to be able to handle dying! Itachi wasn't this disturbed by it. But he is disturbed. He also feels like he shouldn't have been taken by SURPRISE. That's a big part of why he's bothered--he's supposed to be able to tell when people are lying, normally he can tell when someone isn't human or something like that, he ought to have seen a CHAINSAW before it got to him. So...

And even with the friends he's had, not being with Itachi while he deals with this is making him feel very alone.

Tell me about VK! Somehow, I never really got drawn into it. Despite vampires. Should I have checked it out?

Haaaaah VK is very train-wrecky but a delightful one at times. What it does have though is FUN characters. Lots of them. I don't recommend it for the plot at all because Hino doesn't always know what she's doing. But if you love ANGST and LOVE TRIANGLES and PRETTY, it can be highly entertaining. I'm mostly in it for Zero's pain, although I genuinely love him as a character. He fascinates me with his insanity and how it affects those around him and how he copes with it. But yeah, we've got lesbian vampire fanservice, loli vampires, lots of BITING, lots of sexual tension, the occasional cracky hijinks like Zero's two dads/Cross' adorable love for his adopted children/Aidou teasing all his fangirls/Takuma's manga fetish/Yuuki super-slamming Aidou (most of these are early on in the series but we still have them) and some actually unique takes on vampire hunters and vampire genetics. It also has great omakes such as Zero flipping tables and Kaname and Zero pretending to talk about puppies and kittens to humor Yuuki.

(http://cureworsethan.livejournal.com/2133.html?thread=14933#t14933) But for dealing with it now... he really is feeling lonely, and like he screwed up, and like Itachi hasn't really tried in a way that seems meaningful to him. It's all very disappointing, and at the same time sort of surreal. This wasn't supposed to happen, and it's not the sort of problem he's supposed to have in the first place.

He's processing it, and he's starting to have... thoughts. But in the end, he's still really trying to center himself and figure out where he's at, and accept what's happened with Itachi and with dying.

He's not quite there yet.

Who would you try to top me into apping from any of your canons?

Wow, that bit about having to be the adult for a much older Itachi has to be a special kicker. No wonder he's frustrated about Itachi backing out on him. Did the dying affect things on all between the two of them?

Hmm, that's hard since your characters show pings from all around. I think you'd like Tsume though. >> Or maybe Zero's other Hunter dad, Yagari, who is bitchy but still wants what's best for his pupil. And kind of resembles a pirate with his eye-patch and sometimes plays with whips!

Well, Itachi tried to comfort Neji afterward, and that was... nice? It didn't hurt, but at the same time, it was awkward. Itachi didn't touch him. They just sort of hung out in the library, once Itachi got Neji to calm down a little.

I think the experience was troubling for Itachi too--or maybe Itachi just wants to kill whoever did it.

Any other plans for your characters for October? Vampire stuff aside.

I want Toboe to fight things since he doesn't always get the chance. Eddie is getting killed by Grelle. I need to find a way to mess with the Setchan too. Oh, and I want to dress Kiba in something ridiculous like the kitty frog costume.

Toboe is sort of cute. He pings Okita as child-like, and Okita likes kids, so it's a good ping. It actually helped things fall into place when he found out he was a wolf, as WEIRD as that was. He's just so... like a puppy. He probably wouldn't want Toboe getting into trouble.

Really, I think it would be impossible for people not to like him. Except... idk, maybe Hatter wouldn't be interested in him. But Toboe is so ♥

Reverse?

It's ok. Shallow is a middle name for the VK fan. XD It's very pretty.

Toboe loev everyone! But he is a little worried about Okita being sick. It makes him think about how he's worried about Itachi too. ;; But he likes how calm Okita is. It makes him very easy to talk to. Plus, Okita makes him feel like he's really helping, which is really great!

Do Zero and Okita!

Man, Okita has a hard time with camp vampires, and people who can tell he's not human. He hasn't been like he is THAT long, he's not really used to thinking about himself that way and not trying to, but he's also spent a LOT of time thinking that the rasetsu need to be kept a secret. So when people ping on him, his instinct is to not like it. And possibly to pick a fight.

However, he's not that dumb, and he can tell something is wrong. And under the circumstances, he does sympathize with Zero's caution and suspicion. He's got some idea how bad things could be getting, and Zero was... not unhelpful. So his impression over all was of being on the same side! Even though he's prickly about being known for something vampire-like.

I have an idea, but again the reverse. XD

Zero doesn't actually hate Okita. Zero is picky about vampires and more lenient to those who do not like what they are and want to change it. Wanting to not be a vampire gains many points with the Zero. Which of course is the opposite to vampires that are fine with what they are, like Ion, which gains negative points with the Zero. Also, Okita seemed to actually being listening to what he had to say, which is another thing that makes Zero less prickly, cooperation. Aside from that, Zero was too keyed up because of the situation to develop any concrete opinions.

What would be the ideal pet for Ino?

Hmm. Ino would do well with a lot of pets. Cats and dogs, things that are interested in people, etc, are better than birds or snakes or something like that. Things that are soft and cuddly.

She's responsible enough for either, though.

Which of your characters can be trusted with pets? XD

Lelouch has like 10 of them so he's good. Zero manages his horse so he's fine. Toboe has his puffer-kitten, which he totally mothers and sometimes tries to teach to hunt. Kiba would treat it the same way he treats all animals, depending if it's prey or not. Eddie could probably manage a dog but would get bored quickly wiht anything that couldn't be active and rough-housed with. Peter is sensible enough to manage one.

No, I don't think Setsuna should have a pet. But at least Sara might take care of it for him. He'd be great with playing with the pet and taking it for walks but would totally forget about feeding, bathing, taking to the vet. |D

You know, I want Hatter to have an amazing bodyswitch sometime, but I can never think of WHO WITH. I mean, I can think of ones that would be fun, but I always draw a blank on who would be amazing.

What would be the most brain breaking bodyswitch for Hatter from Setsuna's POV?

How is Peter getting along with the other dragons?

Peter loves the other dragons but they are making him self-conscious about being in Gorbash's body because they are concerned with him doing things without Gorbash's permission. He's especially fascinated with Temeraire so far because of his power. Him and Lien didn't get off to a great start though. He's a bit dere for Toothless.
