AU ideas

I'm putting this up for input since I unfortunately work tomorrow, and I know some of the cast may not.

For AU week, I was thinking of playing Prince Lelouch who had still lost Marianne to "an assassin" but never pulled the stunt that got him booted out of Britannia. So he never ended up in Japan, except for maybe a visit to another sibling. I don't know how that part works. But for the most part, yeah Britannian. Still hates Britannia, even though he's fully a part of it and resents Daddy. But has been raised to eye the throne the same as anyone so yeah still has plenty of family-killing vibes left in him. Still trained with Knightmares. But much much more haughty and Britannian royal-like and with their touch of xenophobia.

So who's with me and wants to join in on the scenario?

Well, I was also thinking along the lines that she might have trained him because he's always been somewhat interested in military. So instead of his strategies coming from chess and learning-as-he goes, they would be more honed and professional. He already does this as Zero, but he would be more likely to show it in general mannerisms.

I'm still not sure what would change on Cornelia's end, which is where my problem lays.

Unless we're just talking about what you'll do on Lelouch's end, in which case that is fine. But I don't know what else to contribute...

I was sharing more ideas from my head that I hoped might spur ideas.

I have ideas to develop AU stuff, just nothing to put into play. It'd be a lot easier to play her as uneffected (also, I played the amnesia event relatively recently) but I want her to get to go home to Euphie for a week.

Hmm, you have a good point. It might be more interesting to play nonAU!Cornelia in this scenario. but yeah chance to go back to Euphie would also be nice.

What about ideas to develop AU stuffs?

Depends. I've always said that if Marianne hadn't died, Cornelia would have been more defensively protective instead throwing herself full-force into Operation: One Rule. Her personality would remain the same, as would the extent of her actions — she was severe and capable of ruthless cruelty before Marianne died, imo — but there are different courses that she could have taken. She's always had a knightly attitude, so there's that. She might not have been so quick to refuse the GG position of Japan when Schneizel first offered it to her, so there's that too if you wanted a reason for Lelouch to be in Japan more (she could have taken the vi-sibs & Euphie, since I don't think... the vis, at least, would have much support on the mainland without her, but maybe you want to have them build that themselves, I don't know.)

I was thinking a more "you tell me what you want, I work with it" thing because, like I said, this means so much less for Cornelia than it does for everyone else. It's easiest for me to facilitate.

I do love this "if Marianne hadn't died" scenario for Cornelia. I don't think it would be a bad idea to have people from different verses if you want to go with this.

But I am also intrigued by the idea of the vis and Euphie going to Japan should Cornelia take her GG position early on. Lelouch would probably relish the chance to gain first-hand knowledge of the rest of the empire, and it might still be difficult for him to have the access he wants at his age.

Nah, splitting the AU would just be messy. And I play Cornelia as taking a defensive stance now, so it'd be nice to go back to aggressive "I want you under my rule, bitch" Cornelia. She's still far more entertaining as a conqueror.

I actually like the idea of Cornelia taking everybody to Japan. It makes sense too.

It always makes sense to relocate your younger siblings into the heart of a war zone. :|a

Better a war zone than back-stabbing relatives? So Britannian. :D

Now all we need to do is keep at least a 100km desert perimiter around the government building and we'll be set...

...

Maybe Lelouch shouldn't be allowed inside said perimeter.

We can fill said perimeter with deadly traps/obstacles and big brother will have good incentive to exercise whenever he comes back from school.
