I'm putting this up for input since I unfortunately work tomorrow, and I know some of the cast may not.

For AU week, I was thinking of playing Prince Lelouch who had still lost Marianne to "an assassin" but never pulled the stunt that got him booted out of Britannia. So he never ended up in Japan, except for maybe a visit to another sibling. I don't know how that part works. But for the most part, yeah Britannian. Still hates Britannia, even though he's fully a part of it and resents Daddy. But has been raised to eye the throne the same as anyone so yeah still has plenty of family-killing vibes left in him. Still trained with Knightmares. But much much more haughty and Britannian royal-like and with their touch of xenophobia.

So who's with me and wants to join in on the scenario?

Well, I thought if Marianne got assassinated, that would mean Nunnally would still have been crippled. Unless you wanted to play it where that part of the scenario never came into the occasion. In that case, Lelouch would still be protective of Nunnally (because of what happened to his mother) but he wouldn't need to be constantly wary of letting her do her own thing either. He'd just be regularly communicating with her as far as where she was and monitor.

My proposal would be more along the lines of she never being crippled or blinded in HIS verse. I wonder what kind of effect the Britannian "strong governing the poor" ideology would have on him if his sister had never been weak. And how he'd react to being in a verse where she actually was.

Thoughts?

Well, Lelouch always had a general issue with the Britannian system because of the way the vi Britannians were reviled for not being of traditional pure blood. We still values motivation and personal ability over being born a winner, as is the "ideology" of Charles. But as far as "strong governing the poor," I think he would be more inclined toward that mentality since he thinks it's for their own good, and it's not necessarily a power issue for him. It's more of his "I know what's best for everyone and how to take care of them" way of thinking. Just on a grander scale because he would have the opportunity to nurture that belief. But I also think he would be more accepting of personal drive regardless of status than others in his family. It would intrigue him since Lelouch is still aware of his own shortcomings. It's still "The fighting will end when someone wins" but with him more on the side of Britannia, being that he wants Britannia. Almost a warped "change the system from within."

That makes perfect sense.

I think it'd better if I didn't AU my Nunnally, since having her from canon verse might actually create more tension when other characters get AUed. Plus, I fail at having time for this. ;;

That said, I think AU Nunnally probably followed Marianne's footsteps and became amazingly good at KF piloting and stuff. And I bet Cornelia would have mentored her as she grew up (overcompensating, maybe?). That said, I think she'd still be a very good, wise person even if a bit crazy in the head because of Marianne's assassination and Britannian genes, since I think those are inherent Nunnally traits. She most likely still wants the world to be a better place, but is far more assertive about her wish than her sister Euphie because of her kicking-ass factor.

And of course, a healthy Nunnally would be fiercely protective of her stamina-impaired, slightly socially-handicapped big brother. Not to mention jealous.

I'm only slightly socially-handicapped because I have anger issues and don't actually care about these political niceties. They're a waste of time. :\

But yes, Nunnally would be an ACE pilot.

That's exactly why your AU self is still an incestuous virgin

Speaking of which, at this age, Euphie and Nunally probably have EPIC fights over you.

You do realize that my sole objective is to traumatize the AUed cast with an invalid canon Nunnally, right?

Ideologically speaking, I think your AU Nunnally questions and undermines the system in her own polite, idealistic way - and a lot - which probably makes her look odd from the other royals' POV. But then again, she is Marianne's daughter, so they probably figure non-conventional views come with the package and still respect her for kicking ass.

And I can totally see Lelouch being shocked at finding a Nunnally who doesn't have fights with him. XD
